RYA Powerboat Handling Level 2

This course follows the syllabus for the RYA Level 2 Powerboat handling course. This is the normal entry-level course, and minimum required qualification for people driving powerboats.

The course includes launching and recovery, boat handling, securing to a buoy, anchoring, leaving and coming alongside, man overboard, basic tidal knowledge and rights of way. The course provides the skills and background knowledge needed by the competent powerboat driver and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence.
