WINTER PURSUIT SERIES: 10 Dec 2023
After a windy few days the forecast suggested a gentle 9mph wind from the SW. Perfect.... or it would have been! To be fair the first race of the day was run in a 6-9mph SW breeze, which swung southerly as the race progressed. WINTER PURSUIT SERIES: 27 Nov 2023
The four racers turning out for the inaugural Winter Pursuit Series were blessed with a gentle (albeit chilly) 6-9mph SW breeze. Racing started promptly at 10:30 on a long course which mostly tested boat speed over upwind tactics. Stuart Penny's (ILCA6) downwind speed kept him ahead of Phil Dickinson (ILCA7) for the first half of the race and allowed him to stay just in front of Carl Wood (ILCA7) throughout the dying seconds of the
